Chaplaincy Services | Flinders Christian Community College

The chaplaincy service at Flinders provides pastoral and practical support for your child throughout their school career, by offering advice and encouragement, and seeking to nurture them in all aspects of their social, emotional and spiritual well being.

The chaplaincy program is a voluntary service available to you and your child. There is no obligation to participate, and you may choose to opt out of the program at any time.

Chaplaincy at Tyabb

Chaplaincy and counselling is a vital resource we offer to our students, staff and families. Our mission is to help your child meet all of life’s challenges and to enjoy the fulfilling life God intends for them.

Our chaplaincy service compliments our school’s psychology services. You and your child may access it if you wish, to whatever degree you are comfortable. The chaplain also maintains an up-to-date register of professional counsellors and psychological services that are available within the community, and will be happy to refer you or your child to these services if you wish to access them. The chaplaincy centre is located in the Chapel building.

If you wish to make an appointment with the chaplain simply contact the chaplaincy centre, the school office, Head of House or Year Level Co-ordinator – or for students, simply find us in the yard or at the centre.

We maintain a complaints log in the chaplaincy centre where any concerns or complaints concerning the chaplaincy service are registered and monitored.

Our chaplaincy service is partially funded by the Australian Government Department of Education, Skills and Employment and complies with National Schools Chaplaincy and Student Welfare Program (NSCSWP) Guidelines September 2011.

In addition to the NSCSWP program we offer service funded by the college, which include fortnightly chapel services, Bible studies and regular opportunities for students to develop and explore their faith.
