As we approach the end of the school year, we’re reminded once again of God’s steady faithfulness from the first day to the last. This season gives us a moment to pause, look back, and recognise how much has taken place, growth in our children, challenges that have strengthened us, and countless moments where God has gently guided our steps.

Philippians 1:6 reminds us, “He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion.” What a comfort it is to know that the work God is doing in your children and in you as parents is ongoing, purposeful, and held in His hands.

In the midst of end-of-year busyness, tiredness, and long to-do lists, may you find space to breathe and reflect on God’s goodness woven through your family’s journey. Even on the days that felt rushed or overwhelming, He was present, shaping hearts, strengthening character, and planting seeds that will grow in His perfect timing. As we close this chapter and look ahead to a new season, may His peace settle your hearts, His joy refresh your spirit, and His hope lead you forward with confidence. God has been faithful this year, and He will continue to be faithful in all that lies ahead.

These teams were made up of Grade 5 and 6 students, who were members of our DigiTech Group in the Year 5/6 Clubs Program. In this STEAM-based challenge, students were asked to design an educational science video game, combining scientific understanding with coding, storytelling, game mechanics and visual design. Being shortlisted is a fantastic achievement and reflects our students’ creativity, collaboration and problem-solving skills.

Congratulations to Evie and Callie for receiving their Flinders Values award during Primary chapel. Callie received her award for exemplifying the Flinders values of love and perseverance. She demonstrates these values by showing patience and kindness to her classmates and staying focused during class. Evie’s award was for the values of love, integrity and grace. These values are shown through her caring nature and respectful way she interacts with everyone.

At Flinders, we use the Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) Framework to ensure a respectful, safe, and supportive school for every student. The PBS framework is built on three key pillars of students being Ready, Respectful and Safe. Our Positive acknowledgement system helps students to be Called to Flourish by being Committed to Growth, Connected by Love and Capable of Influence. These guide our students in making positive choices and helps create an environment where everyone can thrive.

Good discipline and clear routines and consequences are vital because it keeps our classrooms focused and safe, making sure that all students can learn and grow.

The summer season has kicked off, and we know the first few weeks can feel a little bumpy. Some parents worry, “Our team isn’t strong enough for this grade,” while others feel, “We’re too strong for this grade.”

That’s exactly why we have grading games in the first few weeks of the season. These games are designed to make sure each team ends up in the right spot, playing against others of similar ability. Coaches and organisers are watching closely, and adjustments can be made if needed. So, hang in there, trust the process, and remember – even after grading, changes can still be made if things don’t feel quite right.

All players should now be registered for their summer teams. Team Managers, if you notice anyone missing, please let Club Admin know so we can sort it out quickly.

✅ Communication

Parents, if you have questions about the season, your first stop is your Team Manager or Coach. If they don’t have the answer, they’ll reach out to Club Admin for you. This helps keep communication clear and simple.
