Parents and Friends are a diverse and dedicated group of talented and experienced parents, grandparents, extended family, friends, and teachers. Meeting on a fortnightly basis to bring the community together, plan events and to raise money to enable to support various projects across the College.

Some projects that Parents and Friends have been able to support; creating a Primary school garden scape; installing a new half court basketball court; purchasing outdoor table tennis tables, giant chess sets, additional sheep and golf buggy for Ag studies; supporting our production team; various music instruments for the Music department, including a Baby Grand piano, just to name a few.

Volunteering at Parents and Friends

Parents and Friends group contributes to the life of the College in many ways, it is not just a fundraising group but delivers so much more. It is a direct contact with the broader parent and student community by building relationships. This group promotes positivity, encourages involvement and generally builds an additional community providing support for students and parents.

Volunteer hours contribute to your Flinders Community program. Continuing support and or contributing to at least two major events in a school year will ensure a refund of your contribution onto your school fees at the end of the year.

Parents and Friends Meetings

Our meetings take place in the P&F Centre, next to the main car park. All dates will be communicated directly to all families via Flinders Connect app.

Second Hand Uniforms and Book shop

Tyabb & Mt Martha Parents and Friends run an independent Second Hand Uniform and Book shop.

Benefits to selling your Second Hand Items:

Once your item/items are passed by our grading team for sale, funds are credited to your family account or for past families, credited to your nominated bank account, not commission based. No hassle and easy for you!
Any unsuitable items are donated to Flinders Missions
Sustainability - Good for the environment
Our Uniform Shop fundraising contributes towards supporting specific school projects.
Items are graded to ensure quality control for our community to purchase.
Ease of sale whilst supporting the school community.

Textbooks – Our annual Second Hand Book Sale in Term 4 is an event not to be missed. We offer books for purchase and sale throughout the year. The books must be on the current year booklist.

All items for sale can be left at Tyabb reception with completed form in a sealed bag or drop into the P&F Centre during opening hours.

Second Hand Uniform Shop Opening Hours

As we are run by our fantastic Parent and Friends volunteers, these hours are subject to change however a notification is usually provided via Flinders Connect. These opening times only apply during term time.

Monday 8:30am – 10:30am and 2:00pm - 4:00pm
Tuesday 8:30am – 2:00pm
