Primary
Student with kite Preparatory Year

During the Preparatory year the child learns to read and gain basic mathematical concepts using concrete materials. Much time is spent communicating, relating and interacting with many language activities including poetry, drama and writing of real life experiences. Other learning areas include: science, art, music, physical education, PMP (Perceptual Motor Program), games and social studies.

There is a strong emphasis on character training including honesty, reliability and care of materials.

A loving approach to each other in play, speech and attitude is fostered. Children learn to pray together, to appreciate God's care and to enjoy his creation. They are encouraged to take part in Chapel services and come to realise that, though young, they are important.
