Teen Drinking Laws
From 1 November, 2011, it is against Victorian law to serve alcohol in a private home to anyone under 18, unless their parent or guardian has given permission.

Frankston Police would like parents and carers to familiarise themselves with the new alcohol legislation that will effect adolescents and their parent/carers; the ‘Teen Drinking Laws‘.
This legislation relates to the serving and drinking of alcohol in your home and has been introduced to manage and reduce dangerous adolescent alcohol consumption. It is intended to reduce the resultant victimisation and offending behaviour associated with adolescent alcohol consumption.
Vic Health has produced a valuable web link resource for adolescents and their parent/carer regarding the new legislation. Victoria Police are featured as a podcast in the web link www.vichealth.vic.gov.au/teendrinkinglaw
